My excuse for not blogging

I had every intention of getting back into a blogging routine once school finished up, but as you can see that just didn't happen. And my excuse is this....

Pinterest seems to be the newest online craze. Pretty much all it is is a way for you to save/organize all your favorite photos online and share them with other "pinners" and your followers. Sounds like a simple enough concept but trust me its SOO addicting!!! I've been a member for about a week and have already created 18 boards (basically categories for your pics) and 294 pins!!!

You have to be invited by a member in order to become a part of Pinterest, so let me know if you would like to become a part of the fun!!!!

Rent the Runway

Hey everyone! School is FINALLY over! Well, until summer school...BUT nevertheless I'm going to be soaking up my few weeks of freedom as much as I can. This summer also seems to be the start of wedding fever in my circle of friends. I think all 20-somethings encounter this stage at some point, and boy can it get costly! And with each of these events you don't want to have to buy a new dress every single time, but repeating a dress over and over won't work either. That's why Rent the Runway is SUCH a great idea! RTR has a ton of different brands and styles of dresses that would be perfect for a variety of events. I know a couple of my sorority sisters have ordered dresses from them for formal and have been very pleased!

The basic concept of RTR is that you pay just a fraction of the cost of what these dresses would normally cost to rent them out for a 4-day period. You just pick your size and the dates you need it. Oftentimes you can also get the dress you decide on in 2 sizes to insure that one fits perfectly! They also have a growing collection of accessories that you can rent for your big night as well.

Below are just some of my favorite dresses RTR has to offer. As you can see there are so many different options EVERYONE would be able to find the perfect look for whatever occasion!

Can you tell I'm just slightly obsessed with Lela Rose?!!
(A favorite of Mariska's!)
Thinking about renting this one for a wedding at the end of the month.

Have you or anyone you know used Rent the Runway? What was your experience??

**I posted this 2 days ago but with all the Blogger issues I had to repost!**

Happy Mother's Day!

My momma is without a doubt my best friend. From a very young age my mom and I have had a close relationship. (Yes, I am that girl who tended to hang out more with her mom than her friends) As I get older, I realize that friends, some who I thought would forever have my back, can let you down, but your mom will ALWAYS be there, not matter what. I've done some good things, and I've done some pretty dumb things, and for each and every one my mom has been there (and dad too, but that post comes next month!).

I can talk to my mom about pretty much anything, whether its trying to decide what to do with my life, the latest thing I shouldn't have bought, or my obsession with SVU. She may not understand my lazy tendencies, the fact that i can never be on time, or my procrastinating ways (in all fairness, i get these traits from my dad haha), but she loves me just the same.

Hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful day. I hope you felt special, treasured, and loved. Us kids may not say it enough, but we love yall and are so thankful for all the sacrifices you have made to make sure we had the most out of life.

I LOVE YOU MOM!

college problems

At 9am this morning I will be taking what will *hopefully* be my last biochemistry test in undergrad. This class has been without a doubt THE HARDEST class I have taken in college yet, even worse than organic chemistry!

prayers and good thoughts would be WONDERFUL!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely start to their week!
